Maddox is an outside fanatic. He tries to open the doors…he stands at the window and stares outside. So, Jennifer and I decided to take advantage of the nice weather we’ve been having and took him to a park in our subdivision one day after work.
He LOVED it, well, except for the swing. I tried to swing and nearly threw up. I know, that’s a graphic statement…but it’s the truth. I haven’t swung on a swing (that sounds weird…swung on a swing) in forever. I don’t know if it was the motion or what, but apparently my equilibrium is off. Jennifer tried it and whata ya know…her equilibrium is off too. Maybe it’s just those swings. All I know is that if we go swinging again I’m going to have to get some of those patches you stick behind your ears. Quit laughing!!! So what if I’m the only dad at the park running around with patches all over his head…
Anyway, other than the swings, it was a blast. Maddox especially loved the slide. We took turns sliding with him over and over. I got so into it that I started playing by myself.
At one point Maddox spotted the lake and headed straight for it. It was so weird. He must have thought it was a beach like in Florida because with no hesitation he tried to walk right in. He didn’t squat down and try to touch the water or anything…he was going swimming.
It’s too bad it’s getting cold around here because it was fun! Maybe I’ll build an inside slide for the house…hmmm…the blueprints are forming in my head now, so gotta go!

Ray, you are an absolute NUT! What a fun Mom and Dad Maddox has. I love you all so much, and I did laugh (out loud)! I’ll see what I can do about those Scopalamine patches.
At the Goins household we preach safety first. No vomiting on the playground. So patch me up…
