Disney World! (10 months old)
Our first trip to Disney World! It was AWESOME! These are some of the first pics of us as we were driving up to the park and walking into Magic Kingdom. The crazy thing about Disney World is that you have to take a journey just to get into the the park and actually see anything. It is not at all like Six Flags or any other theme park.
You can’t just drive by it on the highway and see all the rides and stuff. No…not at all. You can’t see anything until you have paid for parking and paid for your tickets. When you have paid for parking they direct you on where to park your car and then you get out and ride a long train of golf carts up to the ticket/admissions counters. Then…once you have bought your tickets you either have to board their ferry boat or monorail and take a quick 10 minute ride to get to the park which is surrounded by water and WAY back in the woods. They keep it well hidden
We oppted to ride the Monorail. Once we arrived at Magic Kingdom it was so overwhelming! It was amazing! We will for sure be back!
These pics are of the mid-day celebration we walked up on as we entered the park. It was so cool seeing all the characters. They were singing and dancing with all the thousands of people there. Disney World really makes you feel like a kid again….I can’t say enough about how cool it was!
I HAD to ride the Tea Cups! I mean if anybody knows anything about Disney World they know about the Tea Cups and you just have to ride them to get the full Disney experience. Yes…I do get motion sickness on wildly spinning-in-circle rides but I did not care. I had to ride
Ray refused to ride because he was afraid he would get sick and it would ruin his day. So… Ray’s mom, who is gets motion sickness VERY easily rode with me because I did not want to ride by myself. Maddox was going to ride with us also but when we were waiting in line with him to ride he fell asleep so he had to go back with daddy and papa. Needless to say, we did not get sick at all. It was so fun!
This was us waiting in line for this really cool 3D show called Mickey’s PhilharMagic 3D Show. Those were the super cool glasses you had to wear
It was really neat because it was not only 3D but the chairs you sit in some how spit water on you in the water scenes and blew air in your face in other scenes of the show. This scared Maddox to death and for most of it he wined and cried and Ray and I were trying to stuff snacks and a bottle in his mouth. I think he did not like it because it was loud. It was really neat though!
He really was having fun and taking it all in
It was just SO hot! Poor baby!
Maddox got to meet Mickey and Minnie! He really liked the characters and was not scared at all.
Here’s Daddy holding our sleepy baby as we were hiking up The Swiss Family Robinson’s Tree House.
This was all of us at the night time parade of lights and fireworks spectacular. WOW! Maddox was in awe as the parade was going by with all the lit-up floats and characters. These pictures really don’t do this super awesome parade any justice. Again, so very overwhelming! We stood in front of Cinderella’s Castle to watch the parade and right after the parade they have a huge fireworks show that is synched to music. WOW!
