8 weeks old…

Maddox turned 8 weeks old the day after Thanksgiving! He amazes us each and every day. He has started picking himself up really high when we lay him down on his stomach. Part of the time it looks like he’s going to roll over. I’ve been trying really hard to implant the words “da-da” in his brain so those will be his first words, but I don’t think I will succeed. He can alread make “m” sounds…so I’m sure it will be “ma-ma”. I guess I can live with that! But if he says Bodie (our dog’s name) before da-da we’re going to have a major problem on our hands. Those of you who have strong feelings about animal rights should probably quit reading now…

I’m kidding. Bodie is safe! Anyway, here are some new pictures.

The first picture is my new favorite picture. Look at those eyes! How can you not fall in love with that face and those eyes?

Maddox absolutely LOVE’S taking baths! He has the cutest smile in the world!

And finally, here is a short video clip of him picking his head up. It won’t be long and ma-ma will be chasing him around! That’s right…ma-ma will be chasing him. That’s a small price to pay if he says ma-ma before da-da!
