14 weeks old…

Maddox has reached 14 weeks…a little too quickly. We are enjoying every single second of being parents and hanging out with Maddox. This week was a little tough though. We had to put him in daycare for the first time. It was pretty difficult dropping him off and leaving him in the care of someone we know nothing about. I know leaving your kids in daycare is common in today’s world but I would pull him out and let his mommy stay home and take care of him in a heartbeat if I could. Maybe someday…you never know what’s waiting around the corner…

It only took one week of daycare for Maddox to get sick. He started coughing and sounding congested Thursday and he progressively got worse. Saturday night was absolutely awful. He couldn’t sleep and was so miserable. It has been unbelievably sad seeing Maddox sick. He’s such a good baby. He would lay there and look up at us and try to smile and then start to cry. It was like he was saying “I’m trying so hard to be happy for you”. On top of that, mommy started to get sick too.

However, in the midst of all of this, here is Maddox at 14 weeks.
