Update…don’t be scared!

I have made a minor update to the blog. You might consider it major because you don’t like change. But change is inevitable and change has occurred!

When you are looking at the blog you will see a post (i.e. “23 weeks old…our bluebonnet baby“). This has not changed. Keep reading…

At the bottom of each post you will see a link that says (click here to read more & see pictures). In the past, I posted all the pictures and little blurbs on the home page. You will now have to click the link to see everything. Or, you could click the post title (i.e. “23 weeks old…our bluebonnet baby“).

The other change is the addition of the “Popular Posts” section on the right. This will just give you an idea of what people are checking out.

That’s it. That’s all that was changed. No big deal. You should actually be thanking me. This will be a little more exercise for you because it will involve more clicking! Now put on your sweats and head band and begin the workout!

Mimi, Poppy, & Uncle Jarod bought a new outfit for Maddox (Thank you!). We think he makes everything look good but he might be runway material with this on!

Here is our new and improved family blog. Some of you may not like the new site. My response to you is…get up from the computer, walk out side for some fresh air, think about why you are being so critical of me, and then come back for a group hug and a round of Kum Ba Yah.

One of the major changes on our new site is the large graphic at the top. This is called the featured post section. You will see the numbers 1-5 at the bottom right of the graphic. All you have to do is click on one of these numbers to see the next featured post. If that doesn’t make you want get out of your seat and do the chicken dance then you’re probably not fully awake…give it time…

Anyway, as always, thanks for taking part in our lives and keep coming back to see what changes have taken place. Oh, and don’t forget that you can subscribe to our blog and receive an email when we update the blog.

Christmas with the family…

Here are a few of the moments we captured of Maddox spending his first Christmas with the family. He has had no problem whatsoever adjusting to the Christmas season. Every time he opened his eyes he was being showered with presents…and hugs…and kisses! We couldn’t have asked for a better first Christmas with Maddox and all of our family!

Maddox meets Aunt Roxanne…

Maddox got to meet his Aunt Roxanne for the very first time over the Thanksgiving break. She got to experience everything we’ve experienced in the past several weeks in only a few days…the dirty diapers…the fussy moods…the smiles…the frowns….the laughs….the noises…him picking his head up and coming very close to rolling over…and so much more. It was very special for all of us. She even gave him his 1st dollar! I think she would have maybe given him his 1st one hundred dollar bill if she could’ve trusted daddy not to spend it on Maddox’s behalf! Maybe next time…

Anyway, it was a lot of fun but went by way too fast. We all miss you already and love you! Maddox couldn’t ask for a better Aunt!

Horace! My, my, my…

One of the best things about Thanksgiving is that everyone makes time to visit with family and friends. Well, this Thanksgiving we made several stops at Jennifer’s family and my family…but Maddox got to experience his first comedy show when we stopped by my Uncle Rodney and Aunt Irene’s house.

The pictures below do not do my uncle’s routine any justice! He calls himself Horace. His fashion style alone will create a smile. Throw in the facial expressions, the stories, and jokes and those who tend to have “potty” problems while laughing will find themselves…well…you know…sitting in a puddle! Maybe someday I will have the opportunity to record his routine and get it posted!

We have just made staying posted about what’s going on with the Goins family a lot easier. Look to your left. Do you see the new section “life just got easier“? Type in your email address, click the button, and then a window is going to appear asking for a validation code. Type in the code and tell it go.

What you have just done my friend is subscribe to our blog. Now, you will get an email when we make updates. You don’t have to check back on a daily basis and then be overwhelmed with disappointment because we haven’t made any updates. We have all just made this world a better place…less disappointment…less frustration…and for that, you are very welcome!
